This jar was made with a Mississippi Plain paste. The surface is decorated with three spiral designs made unusual by the use a number of applique strips. Typically these types of designs are painted on the vessel rather than applied as a raised relief. Six triangular strap handles surround the rim. A moderate amount of restoration was attempted.
