It is tempting to classify this Mississippian Plain vessel (height = 8 7/8 inches) as a compound based on the bulging structural element between the globular body and the narrow, reconstructed neck. To our knowledge, this vessel form does not occur at late period sites near the Mississippi River, i.e., the Nodena phase.
