  • Form: Bowl

This is a distinctive low, flared rim bowl, with the neck set off by an encircling applique rope. This vessel form is characteristic of the Armorel phase or horizon (Williams 1980) and is yet another vessel that defies simple classification. The body features a flattened scroll motif (cf. Leland Incised, var. LeFlore), while the neck is plain, save for four small symbolic applique handles. The interior is red filmed.
