Dr. Hampson excavated several ceramic vessels, including this one, at Warren Mounds or Hendricks Homestead (3PO7/38), located north of the well-known Hazel site. It is a remarkable Bell Plain vessel of multiple compound forms resting on a notched disk base, with the individual vessel forms and the neck set off by notched applique strips. From bottom to top, there is an open bowl, the upper body of a globular bottle, and a globular bottle with a flaring neck and four dimples. Total height is 9 7/8 inches.
