This vessel originates from along the St. Francis River and although the ceramic type of this vessel would be classified as Mississippian Plain bottle, the temper is actually rather fine. It has a short neck with interior beveling on the rim. The lip flares out from the beveling and is notched, a very unusual rim treatment.
